We had the pleasure of hosting five talented students last week from schools across the Borough for work experience as part of the Work Experience Programme, being delivered by Workplus on behalf of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. Check out the video below to hear from Jude from Integrated College Glengormley, who spent three days with us, gaining real-world experience of marketing and social media. Jude was involved in filming content, editing and publishing across various social media platforms! 🚀 We hope all the students had a great time here in the Council and were able to explore some of the numerous opportunities and pathways available for them in the future! It was incredible to see this next generation of local talent soaking up knowledge and getting hands-on experience in our dynamic organisation. #ANBorough #WorkExperience #Workplus #Marketing #SocialMediaLearning

This week we partnered with Workplus to welcome students across Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough from Abbey Community College & Mercy College to our Lloyds Banking Group Belfast Gasworks hub. Students completed our Youth Campus, a 3-day immersive Work Experience Insight Programme covering employability skills designed using the Skills Builder Partnership framework and introduced students to careers in Cyber Security, Fraud & Financial Crime, Banking, Technology Engineering & Legal. It was amazing to see the students tackle the business challenges and pitch their proposals to the panel and explore future career pathways and apprenticeships. #growwithpurpose #imaginewhatsnext #workexperience #youthcampus David Marsden Ian Browne MA, ACC Richard Kirk James Gillen Jayne Opperman Jolene Davidson Sharon Doherty (she/her) Holly Quincey Chirantan Barua
